Uniquely Maine.

The crisis in Haiti has highlighted the need for an organized, strategic effort to help connect Maine businesses to catastrophe sites in order to make a direct, specific difference during the rebuilding phase of relief efforts. In the wake of the Haitian earthquake crisis, many companies have already provided assistance. Still others, however, desperately want to help but are not sure how or what would be the most effective way. For these businesses, they really have two choices: If they contribute to a major relief organization they often lose the opportunity to make a personal, direct connection and are unable to see the specific impact of their donation. If they send the donation directly or provide industry expertise for rebuilding, most have no in-country access or prior relationships with the relief organizations working in the field to maximize their contributions.

Our answer is MaineLine. We have abundant resources to offer. As a state, we can provide lumber and engineering resources for shelter and businesses, or the technology to connect a field hospital in a disaster area to medical specialists in a major medical center. The possibilities are limited only by the number and types of companies that join.

The greater our number and the more diverse our talents, the more we have to offer the people of Haiti.
